Copper Etching Hard Ground: Step One – Floorwax

Coating 

Pour the floor wax into a tray. Dip the plate into the wax, using a tail made from packing tape. To avoid pooling along the plate’s bottom edge, remove the plate and gently blot the edge on a paper towel. Make sure the ENTIRE plate is coated. Let it dry for 15 minutes in the hot box.
